Bruins were under siege fromTampa Bay alot in this game. With that said, Bruins did battle and never gave up. That McAvoy is very good and will be even better as time goes on. What a great pick up.

I’d like to add that it’s super frustrating that the #2 seed in the conference got knocked out by #1 in the second round, while the #4 and #6 play each other for a chance to go to the CF.

There’s no shame in being eliminated by the Bolts, it just really sucks that it was in the second round. Makes it feel like the team came up way short when they didn’t. This playoff format is trash

Also I think Carlo was a hugely underrated loss. He certainly has his moments but he is generally very good and his skating ability would have helped big time vs Tampa

Oh well. Some years you can be king in a poop division, other years youre in a crowded one. The format is fine. There are no easy paths to the cup.

Honestly if i had to pick a match up of Pitt, Wash or Tampa. I would take tampa.

Cant really complain about the format. Last year we would have had to go thru Ottawa and NYR first two rounds.

No bad teams in the playoffs.

Look.... there're going to be a lot of folks freaking the frig out about the Lick.... but you know what? Oh friggin well... it was done.. it was a tactic that backfired... life goes on. Marchy is still a gamer.

Loads of respect to the Bs. Great team with incredible talent coming up. The two teams I said I was terrified for my Bolts to meet in the tournie were the Devils and the Bruins. Both incredible young teams.

Anyways, a part of me wishes this series went to 7 for the sheer entertainment value; what a great show of skill. But... screw chancing it... 5 will do.

Looking forward to next year's rematch!

Man! Thank goodness i don’t have to watch that rat any longer. It’s nuts, guy effectively assaults/spits (by licking) 2 players and still got to skate around with a slap on the wrist.

Get this rat out if the game before he crosses a line he can’t, nor the league can, get back from.

Tough to take seeing the boys lose (4) straight. Team is better than that. Not to get into the officiating but series should be 3-2 bolts going back to Bos.

Random thoughts....
1) Kevin Miller looked horrendous today. Maybe we over rated him all along.
2) Rick Nash experiment was a disaster. Didn’t give up a ton but a 1st round pick stings.
3) bruins didn’t have a jump all series, I really think they were banged up.
4) Krug is unreal. Any Krug bashers I don’t get it?
5) i like Cassidy a lot!! But he pulled a Claude and didn’t have Charlie on the PP1. Guy was a beast in game 5, really stepped up for Krug and he wasn’t on ice for 3rd period PP. WTF??
6) Tough to see Backes go down, but why are the bruins paying him 6 mil. Yuck
7) was Riley Nash hurt, he played himself out of the league IMO. He was the worst player on the ice every game.
8) didn’t expect Bos to get pushed around but they did.

He was a beast today. He got better as playoffs went on. He didn’t have any confidence against Tor for some reason. You can tell he is a major competitor and once he gains more confidence he will be dangerous.

Last year pit played was as a 1 and 2 in the league. Same with win and Nas this year. Not in the conference...in the league. You were only 1 and 2 because outside of tor that division is garbage. Move on.

I was surprised on how Tampa also outplayed Boston physically. However, I wasn't surprised as to another poor offensive playoff production showing by Rick Nash, with just his 3 Goals and 2 Assists for 5 Points in 12 postseason games. But even worse surprisingly, he was a (-7) in the 12 games, with 2 of his 3 playoff goals coming in their only win over Tampa in Game 1, where he had a (+1) in rating.
The lack of the Bruins scoring at even strength killed them in the 4 losses, & reflected in them only leading in the last 4 games for just 17:51 combined, as opposed to Tampa's 138:10, and with the scores tied for the other 87:17.
The price the Bruins paid to the Rangers for Nash was high, given he becoming a UFA if not re-signed by July 1st. Instead, they should have made a heavy pitch to acquire McDonagh for their back line. The series difference could have been decided at the deadline, with Tampa acquiring McDonagh instead, just like how Boston may not have gotten past Round One had the Leafs acquired Mcdonagh, despite Matthews being non existent in that 7 game series.

No doubt Tampa is good, I thought Bruins were better. Not the first time I was wrong. Deadline mistake not improving the defense. Future is bright though.

B's played with house money... How ironic the B's coach complaining about the officiating..Officiating is what got them to the 2nd round over the Leafs. B's had no business winning the first round. Hopefully B's sign R Nash to a 5 yr $6 million per year deal to lock him up.

Fun and unexpected year by the Bruins. I personally eulogized them in late November. Future looks bright though. Looking forward to how this builds up over the next couple years. DeBrusk being the biggest bright spot for me next to McAvoy. Kid never quits on a shift.

Time to draft a goalie. Rask is a puddle in big games and once his contract is up they should hopefully have a successor in waiting. The Bruins will not win a cup with this guy.

Rick Nash is a piece of trash. You were right Mixturebill. Ryan Spooner is soft as puppy poo but he produced more just being a PP guy and dead weight 5 X 5 than Nash did at all. Guy is a massive under achiever. I'd personally drive him to the airport.

Time to move on from Krug and Gryzlyck needs to go back to Providence. All defense under 6ft need to go. It was watching the returns of Bartkowski and Wideman with all the turnovers.

Haven't looked at whats available for centers but Krejci is going slow down the developments of Donato and Debrusk. Too expensive, too fragile. Total dog poop in the regular season. Would love to move on from him.

Go Jets!

Cloade will want him in Montreal. Total sandpaper guy who can't find the back of the net and coast for long periods of time. I'd say Edmonton but they already have Lucic.

I agree you should move on from Krejci but you are gonna have to eat some of that contract if you want him to be worth anything via trade. 3 more years at that cap hit isnt easy to absorb but im sure the pens will take him from you if you retain half the salary, and in exchange GMJR will offer you dog poop and try to convince you its gold.
